This Gorgeous Flat Top Canvas covered Trunk
is a rare one indeed. Originally made in the 1890-1910 time period, it is
a special find. The trunk has been refinished to a wonderful light color
over the original canvas, with Striking tan colored banding and Black and
silver chrome accent hardware. The lock is a wonderful Silver chrome
finished Yale and Towne lock. These are rarely seen in silver finish. We
have re-brightened the silver accents to a nice aged looking patina
finish. There are many large button style nails, which are desirable. The
side handles are different than you usually see, and are more common on
European style trunks. The trunk is constructed of Beautiful wood which is
substantial, and has been stripped inside and refinished to a wonderful
light natural color. The hardware on the trunk is very unique! This is a
real European inspired, or possibly European Beauty! We have sold several
of these for different uses including coffee or side tables. Dimensions
35" wide x 22 deep x 19" tall.
