 Hand Made Wood Blanket Box / Hope Chest
with
Decorative Lock

This chest is made of pine with iron hardware and forged nails (irregular round heads with square shaft nails). We found this at an old ranch and its just as original as can be. The patina is just awesome with rich color, smooth texture, and worn appearance! The keyhole is faced with a Victorian shaped brass escutcheon and the locking mechanism is good we just do not have a key. We have used beeswax to bring out the original wood luster on this old box, but otherwise have left this untouched from its original appearance. It looks great as it sits and would grace any country or contemporary setting wherever it is placed.

This country chest could be just the thing you have been looking for and it needs a new home!
The box measures 31.5 inches long , 16.5 inches wide, and 11 inches tall.
