| Here is a
beautiful dome top trunk that is in a very rare sea shell embossed
metal pattern. This is an outstanding trunk and we say it is rare due
to the fact that we have only seen this one in the past 5 years that
we have been buying and refinishing trunks. This trunk has its
original tin, that is in wonderful shape and the tin with its luster
and original shine was such a surprise when we started to clean it. We
have added silver accents to the hardware to really make this trunk
one of the most stunning trunks we have refinished. The hardwood slats
oak slates have a beautiful golden color and a rich patina that only
comes with age. Please note that these slats are a little different
than many trunks in that they are a not as wide as the typical wooden
slats and all sport very decorative grooves in them. This trunk is in
great shape with no rust or missing pieces. The leather handles have
been replaced and the bottom is very clean, the lid lift is a
reproduction and we do not have a key for the lock. The interior is
clean with no odors and can be used to store many items, sit at the
end of a bed, or the trunk is great for display in a foyer under a
piece of your art. This is really a beautiful trunk! The trunk was
probably made in the late 1870's to 1890's and it would like to
