This is a Very Rare Primitive Antique wooden Trunk. The Trunk has a unique triangular shape which we not seen before. The trunk has metal banding which we cleaned to a nice aged patina. The trunk has great aged wood which we sanded and then waxed to a rich finish which shows it's age and real beauty. The lock was missing, so we placed an antique lock faceplate on it to add to it's great look, and we added the bottom corners and side handles with antique pieces, and aged leather handles. This trunk has an incredible rustic beauty, and we estimate it's date from the 1840's-1860's period. This trunk would be great for a coffee table or an incredible side table. All you would need to do is add some tapered feet which you can get at store like home depot. We have left it this way so you can decide how you will use it in your home. In decorator stores, a table like this can easily run into the thousands.
