This is a BARGAIN!!!!
Here is a beautiful Medium sized camel back trunk. Others may call them a dome
top or round top trunk. The star leaf and floral design embossed metal is quite
stunning on this trunk and all the metal trim and hardware are complete and
original. The oak hardwood slats have beautiful wood grain and have a rich
patina that only comes with age. The metal is in good shape but it does reflect
some wear and there is a small hole on the back of the trunk. This trunk has
seen some repair in its day, but somewhere along the line someone attached a lot
of value on this trunk and spent quite a bit of time to replace some metal on
the bottom and sides of this trunk. We debated on refinishing this one, but with
its sturdy construction, beautiful arch of the Dome,
and tray we went ahead and worked on it and we are glad we did.

WHAT A DEAL!!
Please look closely at the photos, you will notice that some nails do not line
up, this shows some of the repair work. Also, on the front it should have
another panel of embossed tin, did you notice? Overall a very pretty trunk but
it is PRICED TO SELL. The leather handles and draw bolt latches have been
replace to ensure this trunk has another 100 years of wear again. The metal
bottom is very clean and has the original wood slats, we added the brass tab
feet. The interior is clean with no odors and it does come with a tray. It can
be used to store many items, or the trunk is great for display. This is really a
beautiful trunk and it is Heavy and solid for a trunk of its size! The trunk was
probably made in the 1870's to 1890's and it would like to continue its Legacy
in your home.
