Rare Un-refinished Doll Trunk. You can
leave this trunk in it's original condition, or refinish this wonderful
doll trunk yourself . The trunk has original paper covering over wood , no
missing pieces or large holes, just the normal wear and tear you would see
on a trunk with this age. This is also true with the wood slats and
decorative trim. The trunk comes with the original interior tray, and a
nice lock. Unfortunately, we do not have the key. These keys can be found
with a little looking. If you choose to refinish this trunk it is a good
candidate as it has the original handles and leather straps with buckles.
We love the way it looks now. (please look closely at the pictures) The
lock is a nice antique metal mechanism and dates from around the 1860's to
the 1880’s. Overall this trunk is in good solid condition and is a great
small doll trunk.
